Many companies simply don't know what they need to do to become OSHA or EPA compliant. American Compliance Systems assessments are onsite evaluations, conducted by trained safety experts that pinpoint areas of non-compliance and potential workplace risk. All assessments are offered as either individual services or as part of the Compliance Management System (CMS) Program.

Safety Assessment
A Safety Assessment determines levels of regulatory compliance and identifies areas of workplace risk for employee accidents and injuries. Conducted by highly trained safety experts, the assessment provides your company with a blueprint for implementing a workplace safety risk management program.

The Safety Assessment includes:

·         Inspection of facility - Onsite visit by an American Compliance Systems Field Service Representative that is an authorized OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer

·         Collection of information and data - Compilation and analysis of data into our proprietary risk analysis system

·         Confidential Summary report and follow-up discussion - A detailed report, with recommendations classified by regulatory category and common areas of need. The report will indicate areas of concern as well as a suggested action plan for OSHA compliance, including written plans, training and documentation

Safety Survey
Similar to the Safety Assessment, the Safety Survey identifies safety program deficiencies and workplace hazards. However, this survey simulates a mock OSHA inspection and identifies where your company has exposure to potential OSHA citations and costly penalties. It includes the following:

  • On-site inspection and process review including evaluation of physical, chemical, and ergonomic risks.
  • Administrative audit of OSHA required written plans, safety policies and procedures, employee training, MSDS management, and recordkeeping.
  • Recommendations for safety and/or personal protective equipment.
  • On-site review and discussion of findings and recommendations for corrective actions.

Following the on-site survey, we’ll present you with a written, confidential report, complete with photo documentation. The report will identify deficiencies, citing applicable OSHA standards and potential penalties, as well as recommendations to strengthen your safety program.

Ergonomic Assessment
The Ergonomic Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that identifies operations or work practices that might result in repetitive motion injuries (RMIs). This can cover virtually all company functions including production, laboratories, shipping and receiving and administration. The Ergonomic Assessment includes a work site evaluation, data collection, a confidential summary report with recommendations for controlling ergonomic hazards and follow-up discussion.

PPE/Hazard Assessment
OSHA requires a facility-specific Hazard Assessment of your operations to determine and document employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE). It identifies physical and environmental hazards and assigns the use of specific equipment (i.e., gloves, goggles, etc.) as preventative measures. The Hazard Assessment can be periodically reviewed to determine the effect of changes in your operation that may require new or different PPE for your employees.

This is an evaluation of environmental regulatory compliance status in the following areas: Community Right To Know, Hazardous Waste Management, HazMat Transportation, Hazardous Substance Storage, Water and Air. As with the other assessments, it includes a facility inspection, data collection and a confidential summary report with discussion.
